Animal Control

The purpose of the Animal Control department of the Wauchula Police Department is to provide “protection” as well as “control” of animals within the city limits of Wauchula. 

Animal control officer Terri Davis, has received her certification through the Florida Animal Control Association.  This training requires the successful completion of a 40- hour curriculum training approved by FACA, before Animal Control Officers can issue citations for ordinance violations, as outlined in Florida State Statute 828.27.
